CM 002 – Jesus’ “Who-Touched-Me” Principle
Jesus’ “Who-Touched-Me” Principle – exemplar courage and effort gets attention (Luke 8:43-48)
A woman needed and wanted to get Jesus’ healing attention but she could not. The crowd ahead of her, her physical ailments and financial penury made her an unlikely candidate to get any notice. Undeterred, she pressed forward and broke through barriers, reached the front and got what she could, howbeit, the “border” only. Her efforts paid off and she got everything she wanted and more—public recognition.
Application
- When all fails, press and get to the front and then reach out to someone for help.
- “Where and how you came into the world” and “what you do” determine socioeconomic successes, suggest social scientists. With God on your side, the latter is the critical factor.
- Exemplar courage and effort are hard to overlook.
- “What you do” speaks more than “what you came with.
