God’s Word and Spiritual Victory

Nothing is more powerful in transforming someone’s life than God’s illuminating truth. The Bible encourages us to study, memorize, meditate, speak and declare God’s truth everywhere we go. To achieve success, Joshua (1:8) was instructed to speak and meditate upon it always. The psalmist (1: 1-3) said that delighting, knowing and doing God’s Word bring true prosperity. In essence, whatever good we seek in this life and the other comes from knowing and living by God’s Word.

The apostles gave up charitable food mission work rather than neglect the Word (Act 6:1-7). Wherever the apostles went after Jesus’s resurrection they shared the Word to influence and change lives. When summoned to defend themselves, they relied on the Word. If troubles and persecution came their way, they spoke and prayed the Word. God’s Word served as their light, shield and sword.

May God transform us through the wisdom and power of His Word.
