Article Guidelines

Thank you for your desire to inspire and support other college students in their quest for true academic and spiritual success.  We invite college students, faculty, staff and graduates, both novice and seasoned writers, to submit articles.  If this is the first time you are submitting an article to the College Success Center Inc. please read the guidelines below and read the vision, mission, goals and history of the CSC.  Since the CSC is a charitable organization we do not pay for articles, and we do not accept articles that do not support CSC’s mission or that undermine Christian and other positive religious values or speak adversely about a college/university or profession or groups.  We are interested in well-written college success/motivational stories/experiences, how-to instructions on specific topics that have wide audience appeal rather than a specific campus parochial interest.

Articles should be original, accurate, factual/researched, easy to understand and written in English.  We recommend asking a handful of college peers to read and provide suggestions before submission.  Pay attention to organization, grammar, spelling and sentence structure.  Avoid academic and religious jargon and advertisements, and employ experiential/anecdotal narratives where effective, short, to the point and timely.

By submitting an article to CSC, you agree to let CSC edit for style, format, length requirements, change article title, and make other changes, use and publish the article for a short or long duration of time or as CSC sees fit.  However, you retain the copyright and can use the work as you desire.

Submit your articles by email by pasting or typing into the body of the message and retain a copy for yourself.  Article should not be longer than 500 words and articulate the intended “why” and “how.”  Please do not send attachments and include your name, college affiliation and full contact information.  A short two or three sentence bio is required for all writers.  Our email address is collegesuccesscenter@gmail.com.  If you have not heard from us in eight weeks please assume that we will not be able to publish your article in the near future.
