Workplace Meditation

Mother’s Day Dedication, Prayers & Blessings

Bible Passage: 1 Samuel 1(NIV)

Passage Key Words: provoked, bitterness, anguish, grief, prayer, peace, God

Topical Key Words: Motherhood persistence, prayer and vow; reassurance, child dedication

Hannah became a mother through anguish, grief and bitterness.  Her rival used every opportunity and advantage to shame, provoke and upset her.  After many years of psychological and emotion pain and suffering from the dysfunctional household competition and her desire to become pregnant, Hannah reached her tipping point, prayed and gave herself and her household issues totally to God, like never before.  Someone who saw her giving everything over to God first thought she had a substance abuse problem but later prayed along with her when he understood her sufferings and heart’s desires.  After the dedication and vow, Hannah “was no longer downcast” because she trusted God with her life and household outcome.

May God grant us the faith and strength to surrender all to Him especially when nothing else works.
