Topical Key Words: labor, reward, employment, unemployment
God’s Labor Day Celebration is every day, 24/7. Heaven is always celebrating and rejoicing over people who share their lives—serving, encouraging, forgiving, showing love, kindness, goodness, generosity and mercy—within homes, neighborhoods, states and nations. Wherever human needs exist, God’s Holy Spirit continually seeks those willing to serve. There is never a shortage of opportunities to intervene. What God requires of us is to be available and willing to serve, regardless of life’s challenges, spirituality or age—as a child, youth, adult or elderly.
We shouldn’t say “I will” and don’t show up (Matthew 21:28-33) because “the workers are few” (Matthew 9:36-38). The needs around us are God’s announcements of vacant positions and they are His job appointments.
May God calls to service inspire and transform us more than any engagement elsewhere.
