Workplace Meditation
Spiritual Generosity & Forgiveness
Bible Passage: Luke 23: 34 (NIV)
Passage Key Words: “forgive them,” “they do not know what they are doing”
Topical Key Words: mercy, kindness, forgiveness, spiritual conversion, transformation
Jesus forgave those who stoned, beat and crucified him. His infinite mercy and forgiveness touched and transformed many lives who witnessed his death, burial and resurrection. Joseph told his brothers that everything that happened to him, including their selling him into slavery, was used by God to save lives, including theirs (Genesis 45). His kindness, mercy and forgiveness healed the past and reunited their family.
Although Pharaoh and the Egyptians were oppressing the Israelites, Moses prayed for them (Exodus 8: 28-32) whenever they asked. Also, King Saul tried to kill David throughout his life time but David spared his life and invited Saul’s grandson to eat his table when he became king. These spiritual acts of mercy, kindness, forgiveness and generosity healed families and restored nations.
May God make us unobstructed channels for His infinite mercies, forgiveness and generosity.
